Wells Fargo Banking -- cash deposit.?

  • I was just wondering if there is a specific 'amount' you need in order for Wells Fargo to put your cash (i.e. paycheck) into your account the same day? My check will be over $750. If so, how long does it take to be placed in your account?

    And also... why does it take so long for direct deposit to go in effect at a new employer you were just hired at?


  • The is no specific amount needed for a deposit. You will have to ask the bank how soon the deposit is credited to the account.

    The lead time for direct deposit setup is the employer's doing, not the bank's.


  • It depends on how well-known your employer is to the bank. Checks seem to be taking longer to clear since the turmoil in the banking sector.
